History in the morning, beach in the afternoon. We pick you up at your hotel between 7 and 8am for the scenic two-hour drive to Panama’s Atlantic coast. In Portobelo, your guide takes you through the fort, church and museum that tell the story of this historic town, with time to meet local artisans along the way.
From the port, a short boat ride brings you to Isla Grande. You’ll spend a few relaxed hours at Hotel Candy Rose — beach, pool and lunch included — before we head back to Panama City and drop you at your hotel.
Good to know: your Hotel Candy Rose day pass includes the hotel’s clean bathrooms, pool and beach. Clean restrooms are hard to find on the Colón coast, so this makes the whole day far more comfortable.
